When you're an immigrant, there are lots of things you need to buy to build up your life from scratch, a mattress being one of them. We bought a sofa bed to save money, which resulted in having neck stiffness and back pain in the morning. A good mattress would cost us more than a thousand dollars so we decided to give this a try. It was probably one of the best $100 we have ever spent. We put it over the sofa bed's rather hard mattress, and the symptoms disappeared a few days later.
The smell was all over the room when we first opened and spread it, but it took only about 8 hours until it was gone. Your polyester clothes might catch the smell during the first few days as well.
I recommend it to anyone who can't afford to get a good mattress.

WE LIKE THE MATTRESS TOPPER HOWEVER AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS IT STILL HAS A BAD CHEMICAL SMELL. DONT KNOW IF IT WILL EVER GO AWAY. LAST YEAR WE BOUGHT A 2 INCH TOPPER FROM SAMS CLUB AND IT HAD A CLOTH COVER WITH A ZIPPER AND AFTER 2 DAYS THE SMELL WAS GONE.
