I bought this for a variety of small scratches on my oak floor. The floor had no gouges or anything you would consider permanent damage. I applied the stain for light wood on my light brown floor and it did a great job. It covered the scratches without a problem and it looked like new.
The only problem for this and other scratch covers is that it covers the scratch but does nothing to prevent new scratches. 6 months later, I'm having to apply the scratch cover again and then getting a poly-urethane water based solution to see if I can get more wear out of it, especially where my table and chairs sit.
Overall, for my use, it worked just fine.
