I have been using this unit daily for about a year. To date, I have not had any problems. I decided to buy Sharp as my previous model was a Sharp and lasted 18 years. In reading previous reviews, I agree the doors to these microwaves are not as solidly built as older models. That is the main reason I'm not giving this 5 stars. I find that after a lengthy heating (for example, a casserole), it I try to shut the door with a simple push, it will not close; however, if I close the door by pushing on the lower right-hand corner, it closes without effort. I now have the habit of always closing the door in this manner. In regards to all the other features, all work as expected. (Note: I have not tried the 'defrost' feature.) I particularly like the sensor settings and find it heats or cooks my food perfectly. Based on other reviews I have read, I feel this unit will not last as long as my previous unit; however, hopefully I can update this review with another successful year of operation in 2011!Customer Review: A Great Product, Great Look

Sharp has always made a great Micro, this was a replacement f our last Sharp Micro which was 20+ years old and was still working .. we just wanted a newer model and stainless steel finish. Settings are easy to use ( yes you need to read a manual folks to get the best from the product ). Also not sure why some users don't like the glass door it looks great against the stainless finish and also reflects the heat evenly. The flexible setting of this 1200Watt Micro is great for all types of food. Whether you are softening butter or heating last nights left overs it tackles it all. The turn table glass insert is a must for any even cooking in a microwave, and this one is also dish washer safe. We are very happy with the product, the look, and most of all the functionality !Customer Review: beautiful
