I bought this after a trusty Amana died after 20 years. The look is trendy, but the performance is key.
I looked at plenty of 800 watt units, and a few 900's. Sharp had the right size,and the right wattage.
This unit is FAST, and the interior size can easily support a full size plate.
There are pre-programmed options for "melt", "defrost", and "popcorn" ,along with others.
As a single person, I tested it on "real life" things:
GREAT for heating microwave meals
OUTSTANDING for a simple baked potato. Add cheese and bacon, you have a meal.
PERFECT for soups.
If you are like me, you are looking at spend and value. There are less expensive MW's out there, but the 1100 watts makes this a unique keeper.
Give it a try. I got mine with Amazon Prime so shipping was free - they said 2-day, but I got it overnight.
It is smaller than the HUGE ones, but is only a few bucks more than the stripped down, really small models.
Go ahead and treat yourself - you deserve a great microwave.
Four stars only for the rather lame instruction's.
This is best-in-class as a gift, or for yourself.

I purchased this microwave about a year ago and have been pleased with it for the most part. It has consistent heating over the whole food and is quite powerful for the price. The size is also a welcome feature, in that my previous microwave was about 0.7 cubic feet. The stainless steel is easy to clean and adds a contemporary look to the kitchen. My favorite feature is probably the popcorn button which quite literally pops exactly the number of kernels in the bag without burning the popcorn. It is not a feature-filled microwave, but has warm, soften, reheat and defrost options. I only use the defrost beside the cook because I never took the time to determine how they work. Unfortunately the defrost is the only major flaw I can find with the microwave. It is not terribly difficult to use, but as far as I can tell you are unable to "tell" the microwave that you want to cook anything over 2 lbs. Aside from that it is a solid built, good powered, cheap and easy to use.Customer Review: Microwave with great performance and good looks.

My previous microwave that lasted for 7 years was a Sharp. So it was no surprise that I bought this microwave. The overall look of the microwave is very upscale and has a nice stainless steel color. The first thing that I noticed when I cooked the food is that the microwave heats the food relatively evenly because it comes with a glass turntable that rotates the food. Also, the microwave has lots of options and features where you can adjust the power level, and it even has automatic settings to cook certain types of food at preset minutes. Even though, the microwave is expensive, has a large 1 cubic feet capacity, the features, looks, and the performance may up for the price. In addition, this 1,100 watt microwave heats food in a shorter amount of time compared to other microwaves. However, the construction is not perfect since the door is slightly misaligned with the body of the microwave. Overall, this is a very good microwave.
