This sewing machine is fine for my purpose in buying it - a lightweight machine to use for small sewing tasks when visiting my father. I need to repair seams, re-hem, other little jobs that I have been doing by hand on my visits. I don't think I'd try to make a whole new garment - the machine is very light (which was the point for me in buying it) and a little rickety, but for an experienced seamstress it's usable and useful for repair jobs.Customer Review: Little but Mighty

This little machine is easy to use. Light weight. I can go from sewing quilt pieces to making a fancy dress for the holiday. It performs like a full size machine. It is so simple to use that I have taught my grandson, who is homeschooled and 13, to use it for projects intended for Christmas presents. He made his Mom pot holders, and his brother a nap blamket.
