Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid 4-pc. Culinary Utensil Set - RedCustomer Review: Just awful Summary: 2 Stars
I have almost the entire "Red" collection from KitchenAid, and these are the only dissapointment for me. They are really bulky and the hold water inside them. Everywhere that has a seam from silver banding gets full of water. Everytime I wash them I have to shake them for a few minutes until all the water gets out them, otherwise it drips into whatever pot you are cooking with. I am thinking about giving them away or donating them to a charity. But I almost feel bad sideling someone else whith a cruddy product. Overall I DO NOT advise buying these!!
Customer Review: Too heavy on the handle end Summary: 2 Stars
These tools are made of high quality materials, and they look very nice. However, the ends of the handles are so thick and heavy that if you leave them propped on the side of a shallow pot or pan, or on the counter, they are very prone to flip out of the container or off of the counter, carrying food with them to the kitchen floor. This happened to me twice while cooking thanksgiving dinner. I will not throw them away, but I would never buy them again.
Customer Review: poorly balanced Summary: 2 Stars
These tools, although fun looking, are poorly balanced and fall over if they don't have enough room to rest on the counter. The handles are a little awkward in size and the bowls of the spoons slightly too deep. I like their look, but I don't like the design of them.
Customer Review: Don't immerse in water! Summary: 2 Stars
I agree with the other posters about the balance issues, but I have a problem with the handles holding water and flowing out when it is turned right-side-up (my cookies got soaked!)Definitely keep looking.
Customer Review: These tools have several drawbacks Summary: 2 Stars
Food (especially eggs) stick and even worse, these tools are handle heavy so they easily fall out of a skillet making a mess.
