Customer Review: Very handy, but it died after a week

Fortunately there's a happy ending. I was able to get it working by removing and reinserting the lower pole. That's the one with the electrical contacts. I put a small amount of Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound 3.5 Grams on each contact to keep it from happening again. Apparently, quality control isn't as good as it should be and I can see how that would cause many unhappy customers. It's a very handy sweeper that I use frequently. It's perfect for floors and area rugs. I've even used it to clean cobwebs off a stucco ceiling. If you're thinking about getting one to use on plush carpeting, forget it. The battery quickly runs down quickly when the brushes encounter that type of resistance.
