Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of SPECTRUM DIVERSIFIED Magnetic Organizer Bar

Customer Review: Magnetic towel rack
Summary: 4 Stars

This product holds very well and I am able to put a hand towel and washcloth on it with plenty of room. The hooks below the rack are very handy.

Customer Review: Does the job
Summary: 4 Stars

We got this for the side of our fridge. We didn't have a place to hang towels and didn't want to drill holes in the cabinets or walls.

Customer Review: A little cheap looking
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this product to hang my kitchen items (towels, potholders, etc.). The magnet is strong enough to handle these items, and probably heavier. However, it is a little cheap looking. It is not a smooth molded plastic. It has small bubbles and sharp edges. The hooks are flat and thin. There are holes that look like screws can be put through, but then why buy a magnetic one? It does not look classy enough that I would want to display it out in the open of my kitchen, so I hid it on the side and hung lots of things on it. I probably won't buy another one.

Customer Review: Make It Without Hooks
Summary: 3 Stars

The magnet on this product is excellent. I find the hooks are basically just in the way. I use the towel rack but not the hooks. I usually get the towel "hung up" on the hooks and not in a good way.

Customer Review: good idea, but cheap and useless product
Summary: 2 Stars

This hanger is about as poorly designed as a hanger can be. The stubby raw plastic hooks with rough manufacturing edges are too small to hold anything substantial, and too wide/squat to hold most utensils with holes. Granted, in this world you get what you pay for... it's just a shame that no company with loftier intentions manufactures a similar magnetic item.

Additionally, the magnets in the back of this thing are small and weak, making it likely to fall or slide down if anybody ever managed to hang and/or balance anything on it.

A similar product ought to be out there somewhere, made of metal, with long thin hooks and covered with rare earth magnets in back. At least the towel hanger bar is a good idea, just incredibly poorly realized in this case.
