This is a very nice loupe. While I don't have a professional need for one, and therefor no experience with them, this seems to be a very well made product, with a nice metal housing that did not have any dangerously sharp edges,(which I heard on some reviews of different loupes as I did research). The view through it was sharp,and the leds are blindingly bright (if you look directly at them!) and really light up the viewing area. It even had a plastic case. I cannot believe anyone would be disappointed for the money.Customer Review: Bargain for the Price

I purchased this loupe because my regular 5X magnifying glass would not allow me to determine the hallmark on a piece of jewelry. I was not sure if the item was silver or gold. Well, with this illuminated loupe, the hallmark was immediately discernible (it turned out to be gold). I know I will be using this loupe over and over again. And, yes, the illumination makes a big difference in performance. This loupe was a low-cost resolution to my problem. The plastic case is a bonus to storing the loupe.Customer Review: This gift was a big hit.

Gave this illuminated loupe to a friend as a gift and they were simply ecstatic over it. Comes in a nice little case to protect it, making it worry-free to carry around in your pocket or purse. Very reasonably priced. It has provided hours of entertainment so far as we have carefully observed everything in the house through the magnifier. I was surprised at how well made this inexpensive loupe was. The LED is very bright and really brings out the detail in examined objects. The lens folds into a protective sleeve, but the loupe comes in a nice plastic carrying case as well, which takes up four times as much space, but does hold a small little tool for changing the battery. I bought this for my husband, who is a relic hunter. I have been struggling to find a good tool to view 200 year old coins that are not in the best shape. It is even better than expected! The light is great, the tool is sturdy - very, very happy with this purchase!
