Yes, the quality of this product did not live up to my expectations. However, I will admit that it does the job. I have cooked a whole chicken, cornish hens, and chicken wings in this machine. All have come out wonderful, in particular the chicken wings. In fact, I would say that I created the best tasting wings ever using this machine.
Clean up was relatively easy when cooking cornish hens and a whole chicken, but more difficult with wings (because they are the fattiest part of the chicken, they tend to splatter). Another drawback would be the elastic food ties, which effect the taste of the chicken. Washing the ties with cold water seems to help a bit. My last disappointment with this machine is that no flavor injector was included. This is a pretty bare bones model, but thankfully I got it at a low price.
It's worth paying a little more for a higher quality machine.

My neighbor is a huge fan of these little machines. Insisted that I borrow hers and try it. I borrowed it and used it for a chicken, a pork rib roast and a few other things. I thought it was good but not 60-125 dollars good. Found one at the local second hand store for 15 bucks.
They are pretty much impossible to clean and the interiors are messy. But the food doesn't touch it. A cooking option for those that like to experiment.
Not probably worth the counter space if you live in a middle income or smaller size home.
