This makes the juiciest chicken I've ever tasted. Racking the chicken onto the spit is as easy as it looks on TV. The same goes for removing it when done. Clean up is a snap. There's plenty of room for a plump chicken or a couple of Cornish hens. I haven't tried a turkey yet, but I roasted veggies in the spinning basket. Delicious!
I love the pause feature that allows me to stop the spit from turning so that I can add crispiness to any part of the bird. The pan in the bottom collects the juices. I make soup with it later.
It comes with everything too - gloves, video, chicken ties, basket with lid.
This is one of those purchases that makes me want to tell everybody what a great deal I got. I'd give this product ten stars if I could.

In 1998 or maybe 99 my husband who loves commercials convinced me, the skeptic, to purchase a Ronco Rotisserie. Now, 10 years later and several moves in which it was dropped and glued together again, it is finally falling apart to an unusuable extent and so I am replacing it with a younger sexier model. It has been my favorite form of food preparation, especially in the summer when I don't want any extra heat produced in the house. The food is wonderfully moist without brining which is especially important in our household now. I can't praise this product enough. And this praise is from a skeptic. Tonight we had Salmon cooked in the basket. Yum. Last night we had a half Turkey breast. More yum. My only complaint is that it doesn't weather continual dropping very well.Customer Review: Ronco Rotisserie

A friend was always telling me how great this rotisserie was for her. So, finally I purchased the larger one, which came with quite a few accessories. I am 100% pleased with the item. The food is always moist and very tender. The only suggestion I have is DO NOT COOK ON COUNTER, where you have your top kitchen cabinets right above it. This rotisserie gives off a lot of heat, so when we use it, we place it either on our porch or garage. This arrangement works fine for us.
The cleaning of it could be a bit easier so I lay aluminum foil on the bottom to catch any grease. I cannot think of any other reason as to why you would not be pleased with it. Happy meals to you.

I was hesitant to buy something that screams "I've been watching late night tv and bought this off an infomercial" but I had heard good things about this from friends. I have the compact stainless steel version which doesn't seem to be available on amazon anymore.
Cooks wonderful, juicy chicken in about an hour. Not sure how much power it pulls, but we blew a fuse the first time we used it (and the microwave). Now we are careful as to how many appliances we have on at the same time. Just something to keep in mind when you're using it.

i have just ordered my second rotisserie. Wore the first one out! Everyone wants me to make the turkeys for Thanksgiving. Just put an apple, onion, and celery stalk in the cavity of the turkey and salt & pepper and a little olive oil on the outside and you wont believe how wonderful the turkey turns out. Chickens are awesome, just sprinkle with rotisserie seasoning and everyone will think you are a chef. Also does really good pork loins, and rib roasts. Would reccomend this to everyone. My first one lasted almost 15 years.
