Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Rolling Hills Rolling Pin Rings

Customer Review: They work well
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought them for my daughter, who likes to make pies. She loves these wraps. Price is a little high, but they should last forever. Good Quality.

Customer Review: rolling pin rings
Summary: 5 Stars

These are great for getting the depth of the dough consistent for all cookies or pies. It makes rolling out the dough so much easier.

Customer Review: Very handy
Summary: 5 Stars

Make those cookies the right thickness! Easy to use, and the shipping was very fast.

Customer Review: Ring Quandary
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased the ring sets several years ago. Although my colors are different, the product description is precisely the same. I cannot figure out what one reviwer was talking about when he complained that the rings won't roll dough true to depth. If we have the same product, even my smallest ring set slides up and down a 1 1/2 inch diameter straight pin. A 2 inch pin is the minimum circumference needed so the largest ring set doesn't just slide up & down too because the interior circumference of the largest ring set is just shy of 2 inches. This means on a 2 inch pin, the largest ring set will hold the pin off a flat surface outside the area where the dough is being rolled just about 3/8 of an inch. The reason I rate the ring set 4 stars & not five is because they CLAIM to fit pins 1-4" but based on my 1 1/2 pin being too small to hold even the smallest ring set, I cannot see how anything under 2" will work.

Customer Review: No more underdone, overdone and just right cookies on the same tray!
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought these to help in making my cut out cookies for the holidays. Only issue I have is that I probably should get a longer rolling pin - but the shorter one fits in the drawer. Hmm... Maybe I just need a bigger kitchen! Anyway, these are simple to slip onto the rolling pin and work great keeping everything at the same thickness. Only issue I had was, since my rolling pin is short, I kept making lines across the edges of the dough with the bands. If I wasn't trying to make massive amounts of cookies, I could have easily used less dough - but in trying to do more at once, I used too much. But, NO burnt cookies this year! This paired great with the new baking mat Magic Dough Non Slip Flexible Pastry Mat I also purchased for cookie making. Cut out cookies were a breeze this year!
