Cooking in clay is one of the healthiest ways to cook, no grease or oil needed. It is also a fool proof cooking: if that pot-roast/beef-stew dries up and burns every single time buy yourself a clay baker and the meat is guaranteed to come out moist and tender. I use my clay cookware at least 3 times a week. This one is a nice size for dinner for 2 people. It says veggie baker but you can also use it for baking breads, cook meats and fish. It's the easiest way to cook, you don't have to run to the oven every 5 min to baste the food, the baker does it for you when releasing moisture in cooking process. Just as another person noted this baker fits into a smaller size table top oven - a huge plus when you cook during hot summer months.Customer Review: Excellent for 2-3 persons or 1 person sized meals

Don't let the 'vegetable' in the title fool you. This is just a small size clay baker and you can cook anything you want in it. If you have a large enough countertop or toaster oven, you may be able to fit this in it without needing a full size oven. Check your measurements carefully. It takes a little bit of practice to figure out which things cook best, but you can pretty much just toss in some veggies and/or potatoes with or without meat or anything else you feel like - bake and serve. Get a few of the clay pot cookery books out there to give you ideas, or just throw in your own ingredients. It's pretty simple and foolproof.Customer Review: Fun cooking

I have several stoneware baking dishes, however all of them are too large for making a meal for two, so I was looking for a smaller unit. The Reco International Vegetable Baker is PERFECT. It fits exactly into my toaster oven, and with 10 minutes' preparation and 50 minutes in the oven, a most delectable meal for two, including grains and veggies, is ready for our enjoyment. I purchased the Reco International Vegetable Baker and find it works well for meals for two people -- stews and vegetables came out delicious. I put it into my toaster-oven which turns off after the total time has elapsed. I can pre-prepare a meal and it is ready when I return. I have the 10 lb clay cooker for turkey and chicken, however, when cooking for just 2 people, this size fits perfect in the convection toaster oven. I use it for everything, not just veggies. Would recommend to anyone who likes to cook in clay pots.
