Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Rachael Ray Hard Anodized Nonstick 8-Quart Oval Pasta Pot with Glass Lid, Orange

Customer Review: Rachel Ray 8 Quart Hard Anodized Pasta Pot
Summary: 5 Stars

After watching the Rachel Ray show and viewing her pasta pot, I knew I had to have it!! I really got tired of having to break up my pasta to fit into my current pots. I really must say that after using it I don't know how I very faired without it. You only need to use Med heat and you will not burn yourself pouring the water off because it has a little pour spout when you drain the water off. Not to miss the Orange padded handles on the lid and the handle. Please make this a must get product! The pasta cooks evenly and tender. I really enjoy this product and so will you..

Customer Review: Best Pot I Ever Bought!!
Summary: 5 Stars

The first time I saw this pot on Rachel Ray's show, I wanted it. The simple idea of making the pot oval shaped is brilliant!! Once I got it, I was totally surprised by all the other things besides pasta that I would use the pot for. I have several large pots that I used to use for soups and chili but since I purchased this oval pot, its the only one I'm using.

I have only 1 small criticism -- when I cook sometimes I like to put the lid sort of half on/half off. It is hard to accomplish this with this pot. Other than that, its genius!!

Customer Review: great pot for cooking
Summary: 5 Stars

it took me forever to purchase this pot, mainly because it was so pricey, but i finally did, and i am very satisfied. the pot is a bit shorter in height than i expected, but it is very big. there is enough room for any pasta to go in this or to cook any other thing. many people complain that there is no steam vent holes, but if you pop the lid on it and let it boil, steam will come out of the easy pour spout, so its not too bad. even after letting something sit in the pot for a while, like spaghetti, nothing will stick. the pot cleans easily

Customer Review: This pot is fierce!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm a few weeks late with this but I 1st have to give Kudos to Amazon. I received this as a gift and it was ordered for me on Monday, 12/22 and it was stated that it wouldn't be shipped until the following week. Well, the pan arrived that Wednesday, Christmas Eve! It was ordered with free shipping and arrived before Christmas which was so awesome. So wtg Amazon! The pan itself is really handy. I recently made Rach's "double chicken dumpling stoup" in it and it came out great. And, of course, it's perfect for all kinds of pasta!

Customer Review: Dump your other pasta pots!
Summary: 5 Stars

The design of this pot is so ingenius I don't know why noone else has thought of this before Rachel. I hated my all-clad pasta pot because I hated my spaghetti or linguine half sticking out of the water when I placed it into the boiling water. Now, it all goes in submerged and I get to save a lot of water also. This is the best pasta pot on the market. Rachel had another one out with the same design prior to this one without the ugly orange handles for those of you that care about the aesthetics of your kitchen and its pots.
