I love watching Rachael Ray on TV and had been wanting her pasta pot, but not wanting to spend the money on it until I saw it on Amazon at a bargain price. When I checked it out at the department stores, it was an amazing price difference and I could not resist placing my order with Amazon. I use the pot almost every day not only for pasta, but stews, soups, etc. It is so easy to clean and very user friendly with a lip for draining so you don't even need to use a colander. The see-through glass lid makes it easy to check on contents without losing heat. The handles are great and you don't even need pot-holders most of the time. We purchased the 8-quart Rachael Ray oval pot because we cook for large groups regularly. Our stove is a ceramic top however, the largest burner is 11 1/2" diameter. My other set of pots and pans is stainless steel and is not coated with anything to prevent sticking. I love both sets. The stainless is a little more critical to watch, but my Rachael Ray Oval is excellent. Gosh, it is non-stick, how can you screw up. I only use it on the largest burner and I never place the handles over an area where they could be exposed to another burner. I believe that a little forethought can usually go a long way because, a watched pot doesn't burn.Customer Review: Finally--a pot that fits the pasta!!

Originally, I saw this pot on Rachel Ray's show in the morning--and thought, what a great idea--no more breaking pasta or pushing it in at an angle. When it went on sale, I had to have it!
I love this pot..it's sturdy. It's bigger than a typical dutch oven so it's also great for a big pot of soup, or spaghetti..but I love love love that pasta fits in it. It's so easy and convenient.
The non-stick coating is a bonus. The handles are great since they don't get hot. The glass lid lets you watch what's cooking. There's just no downside to this pot, it's fabulous.

I absolutely love this pot. I think the oval shape is so brilliant and I can think of so many other dishes I can make rather than just boiling pasta alone. The stews, chicken noodle soup etc come out so beautifully and I used this to substitute for a dutch oven to cook beef stew and it came out so perfect. It is so roomy as well and I can actually throw much more veggies in there to any type of dish than I normally would.
I am by all means not a chef but this pot is only the beginning of many many more wonderful dishes to come. I highly recommend this great pot. :-)
