I bought this set for my girlfriend for christmas because she loves to cook and the knives she had were a really cheap set (not just price but they felt cheap and flimsy in your hand) so I decided to get her a good set and wow are these 100 times better the balance is spot on even for her small hands and yet it still felt comfortable for me when I used them the quality is far superior and they're razor sharp right out of the box
Just to give you an idea of the difference my girlfriend cooks alot and is pretty good with knives but this one really amazed her at how effortless it was to cut/chop/whatever with it and is sharp enough and she was so used to other duller knives that she managed to cut herself while washing one (shes fine but it was interesting and shocking for her) all in all probably the best gift I gave her for christmas she hasn't stopped thanking me and trying to think of things to use them for since I gave them to her
Amazon was great as always when I ordered it was about a week before christmas (yea I know cutting it close) and my email had said a 4-6 shipping period and to expect them on the 22nd of january but instead they were shipped and delivered well ahead of schedule and I was able to give them to her only a couple days late on jan. 2nd
