Customer Review: Gr8 buy, useful size...terrific quality!
Summary: 5 Stars

Another gr8 pan from Rachel Ray! Own the 10pc set & have been waiting for this to go on sale...first pan rec'd. had a 'rough' finish to coating on inside of pan bottom, so returned as defective...BUT found out after getting the 2nd pan w/the same rough texture that it's not a defect (Anolon makes these on a different line in the plant!). Gr8 size for frying, easy clean-up & like the oval shape altho needed getting used to! You won't be disappointed in this pan!

Customer Review: Love it!

Customer Review: An everyday workhorse
Summary: 5 Stars

If you're looking for an everyday workhorse of a pan, then look no further. This pan goes from stovetop to table with ease and is just the right size to handle many different types of meals. From scrambled eggs to casseroles to spaghetti sauce to taco meat, you'll find yourself using this wonderful kitchen tool almost every day, like I do.

There are a number of features that give this pan its appeal, but here's some of my favorite ones:

High Sides - I can "slop" food around in this pan without fear of sloshing over the top (and, in the process, incurring the wrath of my wife who is the stovetop cleaner).

Handles - The rubberized material on the handles will get slightly warm, but not too hot, making this pan comfortable to move around without aid of a pot holder. The helper handle is a HUGE plus when transferring to the table and this pan is oven safe to 400 degrees.

Glass Top - I cook a lot of things that need to be watched (red beans and rice), but don't want to remove the cover to inspect (loss of heat and steam, sometimes important to a recipe). The glass top is a godsend when keeping track of your creation.

Heat Transfer - I am an admitted 18/10 stainless steel snob. Our main cookware set is all stainless and I absolutely love it for all the characteristics that make stainless a serious cook's choice (braising and lack of hot spots, for example). The most important feature, in my mind, is even and fast heat transfer; stainless "responds" to changes in heat quickly. I was surprised to find this pan did very well with changes in heat.

A few notes on care and cleaning: This pan does have a non-stick surface, so don't use metal utensils when cooking; you will invariably scratch the coating and ruin it. In addition, soak the pan with water and a mild diswashing liquid like Joy, then scrub with a sponge. I prefer to immediately hand dry with a dish towel, but that last step may not be necessary.

This pan will give you many years of service if cared for properly (we use ours almost daily and it looks almost new). When both of us are cooking, we fight over this pan so you may need 2!

Customer Review: excellent product
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used this unusually shaped oval Rachel Ray pot about 4 times and each time I am so happy with the results. It fits perfectly over two burners, it cooks evenly; it holds a large quantity of food so it is perfect for stews and braising. I recommend it highly. It is well worth the price. It seems to me that it is an answer to stovetops that only have one large burner because it fits so well on two small burners with the same and perhaps better results than using just the large burner. Every cook should have at least one of these pots.
