I have an electric knife sharpener that could never sharpen anything, but I assumed that this was normal since others rated that electric sharpener pretty high. I also have couple other knife sharpening gadgets that I bought while searching for a 'sharpening miracle', but never found anything impressive until now.
Everything's changed after I decided to buy this small Furi Diamond Fingers, based on reviews and being impressed with Rachael Ray cookware and cuttlery. Now sharpening knives is truly fun and I enjoy the simple sharpening process because of the results. Out of curiosity and amazement I visited the manufacturer's Website (furitechnics) and found how much research, focus and effort they've put into this small but professional tool, including some patents. I also noticed they talk about 20 degree bevel angle, while my electric sharpener seems to create much wider angle, I'd estimate at up to 30 degrees. Anyway, I'd never imagine that knife sharpening could be re-invented just recently, but it seems it was by Furi.
The plastic case seems somewhat fragile, but this is not important or possibly increases the amazement factor that someone created such a small gadgety but compact device that actually works so well. I'm very happy with this product, and at such a low price it's simply worth trying even if you already own a knife sharpener.

After years and years (literally) of purchasing knife sharpeners only to always end up being highly disappointed, it was such a great joy to find a product which brought me to the end of my searches with such a "big bang". I will never again have need of another knife sharpener, why? Because I purchased the Furi Rachael Ozitech Diamond Fingers Pro Knife Sharpener, and was so over-joyed and pleased with the accuracy of it's claims, with the accuracy of it's product description. It literally does "everything" that it claims to do. And let's face it, when you have beautiful knivies such as the one's I have, J.A. Henckels Twin Select 10-Piece Block Set and the Furi Rachael Ray 5-Inch Coppertail East/West Knife you really have no need of knife sharpeners that only lend themselves to worsening the edges of your blades instead of improving them. Well, you'll never have that problem again with this unique product!!!!!!!! He was a mid-level restaurant chef in his younger years and definitely knows his knives and HATES a dull knife. HE LOVES THIS PRODUCT. He loves it so much that he took it to work (the White House) to show the chefs there and suggest that they get them. He also gave his first one to his best friend who is the head chef at a high end French restaurant who also loves it and for some reason had never seen it before. Its sharpening ability equals or betters the intricate and difficult "professional" sharpening tools and its safe and easy for the least knowledgeable of chefs. I've used ours to sharpen scissors as well and it worked perfectly. I recommend this to anyone who is sick of dull knives and even more sick of trying to sharpen them with all the complicated tools out there or who doesn't want to pay someone to sharpen their knives for them. This works wonderfully. We plan to buy several more and give them as gifts to people we know who like to cook or hunt.

I needed a sharpener for my kitchen knives which had grown very dull over the years. Since they didn't have any nicks or chips in the blades, I decided to try this sharpener. It sure looked easier than using a stone! It took several passes before my knives were sharp enough to cut a tomato instead of squishing it, but I wasn't surprised. They haven't been sharpened for years! I didn't count the passes through the fingers, but I was able to sharpen 4 knives in under 5 minutes. They all work like new! I'm glad that I took the gamble and decided to try the Ozitech Sharpener. Regarding complaints on the plastic guards breaking, I just took my time and gently followed the instructions. I didn't have any problems at all. As long as it is treated respectfully, I expect that it will last for a good, long time! I'd recommend this sharpener to anyone who wants nice, sharp knives in their kitchen!Customer Review: Furi Knife sharpener

This is a superior knife sharpener. I have several knives that I thought would need professional sharpening but tried this sharpener first and couldn't be more pleased with the results. Made well used knives nearly as sharp as new. Works well for quite dull knives and also works well for a quick touch up on my new knives when they're feeling just a bit dull. Is far superior to a steel as it's difficult to get the angle just right when using a steel and you can't get the angle wrong with the Furi knife sharpener. It is also compact, well designed, and easy to store in any kitchen or on the go.
