Description of Victorinox Cutlery 3-Piece Fibrox Chef's Set, Molded Handles
Our high carbon, stainless steel blades are hand finished in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. A special tempering process is used to produce an edge that can be resharpended over and over again. Each Victorinox knife is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished. Our patented Fibrox handles are hygienic, dishwasher safe and slip-resistant. All Victorinox cutlery products are backed by a lifetime guarantee.This set of three knives from R.H. Forschner by Victorinox makes an excellent gift for the home chef. The 4-inch paring knife adeptly manages most fruit and vegetable peeling, cutting, and garnishing; the 8-inch slicing knife carves the Thanksgiving turkey and other roasts; and the large 10-inch chef's knife tackles a multitude of kitchen chopping, mincing, and slicing tasks. The Fibrox blades are made in Germany and hand-finished in Switzerland. Providing a comfortable grip, the triple-rivet, ergonomic POM (plastic over molded) handles are curved in such a way so as to reduce wrist strain over long periods of use. While the knives are dishwasher-safe, Forschner recommends washing them by hand and covers them with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects. --Ann Bieri
