I received this blender for Christmas, have only had a chance to use is a couple of time. But so far I love it. It will crush ice (with a little liquid added) like a dream. Makes it really slushy. I plan to use it make drinks and smoothies, among other things.
It far surpasses the one I had before.

We love this blender. It was ranked a "Best Buy" by Consumers' Report Magazine recently and I understand why. The variable speeds come in handy. It's easy to clean, and it has a powerful motor. Excellent value for money - the blender chops, grinds, blends, and crushes ice perfectly. The jar is huge and convenient to handle. Bought this as a gift for my wife after reading many reviews. We have owned several blenders, but this one is, "the best one ever", says my wife. I just bought this blender. It is obviously better than all the blenders I grew up with. I have only needed to use the clean and the slowest setting on the blender, and I'm not sure it's as powerful as my wife's VitaMix, but unless you're a restaurant making bread with your blender, buy this one.
