I got interested in this blender from Consumers Report. Came here to [...] to see the reviews, which were all great, and I see why. I make a lot of smoothies and protein shakes, and found other blenders wouldn't crush the ice or frozen fruit well at all. This blender has not problem doing either. It mixes all the ingredients from top to bottom
I've started using it to mix pancake batter. Too easy, mix and pour!

The blender far exceeds my expectations and has performed excellently in all uses I have put to it. I have not made appliance purchases by internet in the past and made this purchase only because every appliance store I searched did not carry this product. My husband and I use the blender every day at breakfast. This is our second Braun - the one before lasted us @ 3 years - the plastic "teeth" on the cutter blade finally broke off from all the use. I love that it's made of glass and not plastic. This blender stands up to crushing ice cubes with no problems. We've also used it to make baby food (purees). A powerful motor is key to crushing ice. That is why I bought this blender. I have not been dissapointed. Its good for making smoothies and the like. The price was good also: 39.99
I have no complaints.

We've had the blender about a month now and despite the warnings, we've had no problems with the teeth breaking off the blade. We pub frozen fruit in it all the time and it grinds it up into a liquid in no time at all.
It also makes "snow" out of ice cubes in seconds! A great purchase. We couldn't be more pleased.
