Got this skillet for my husband who is the head chef in our house. He had tired of continually having to replace non-stick skillets and specifically requested a stainless steel version. After doing some research, I settled on this model ... he is delighted with it.
One strange thing, however -- the pricing on this is bizarrely erratic. I bought it in the $70 range ... now I see it listed over $189! And, since I check it occasionally, have seen it in the $140 range, at $115, etc. Have no idea why there is this erratic pricing -- but, if you ever see it at a good, LOW price, snatch it up. It's great!

This pan is quality of the first order. It replaces one that was top of the line from over twenty years ago that I thought still did a terrific job. No comparison, the oil layer in the pan holds the heat steady so the pan does not seem to be turning off and on all the time. Also the steam release in the lid keep that infernal sputtering all over the counter from happening as the lid doesn't jump around as steam is released. First time out fried chicken to perfection!!Customer Review: The best

An electric skillet is a much underrated kitchen helper. Many benefits to it, including that it controls the heat and you can leave it unwatched. I own this skillet in a vacation house. Now I will buy it at Amazon for much less than I paid for the first one. This skillet is the best I have ever seen or used. It is heavy, cooks well (you do have to get used to the heat levels), cleans like a dream, goes through the dishwasher perfectly.Customer Review: This skillet is hot!

What caught my eye was someone's review stating that this skillet reminded them of the skillets that are normally only seen at State Fair
exibitions. So true and with out those pricey markups. This skillet has an
much more even heating surface,due to its Oil core. I feel that I can use this skillet at a lower temperatures due to the sustained tempuratures. I could and have already highly recommened this skillet to others.
