This gadget is "killer". I had made jerky by hand cutting strips for the dehydrator up until now. After looking at the reviews of various products, I opted for the gun (which might better be called the bazooka). It works as advertised. The hand cutting was laborious if you wanted to make much in terms of quantity to share with friends, relatives and the homeless soliciting at intersections. It will lay down strips quickly and fill snack stick diameter casings in a heartbeat. Instructions are clear, loading is easy and cleanup quick. It may not be the traditional approach, but I'll let those hunting for the raw materials use that method.
