My Mom has arthritis in her hands and has a tough time peeling apples. Since she retired, she has really started baking again. One of her favorite things to make is pies. She rarely made apple pies, because it hurt her hands. I gave the Pinzon Apple peeler to her for her birthday, and she loves it. She is making all kinds of things with apples now, not just pies. The family loves this apple peeler,corer and slicer. This is a great idea for Xmas gifts and a housewarming. It's so easy and quick to get apples ready for pies and desserts where before I almost dreaded going through the motions of coring, peeling and slicing. This simple tool effectively and quickly takes a whole apple and turns it into a neat bundle of sliced and peeled apple chips in one continuous coil. This is a fantastic little machine. Reasonably well constructed and fairly heavy duty. I've cored / peeled / sliced over two bushels of apples this past summer alone with no problems. If you are in the market, make sure you purchase one with a suction cup (the C-clamp type tends to beat up counter tops).Customer Review: I'll never peel an apple with a knife again!

This works even better than I'd hoped. It peels, cores and slices the apples so fast! I had a half bushel of apples to make apple sauce with and would still be working on them if I'd had to peel them with a knife! I've given this one to my mother and am going to order another for myself.
