Got these sheets and threw them straight in the wash. Before and after they were very soft and are actually getting softer with more use. Really happy that they are deep sheets because I have a 3 inch memory foam topper on my mattress so I was worried that they might not fit together well. These sheets are wonderful! Straight from the package they were very soft, and had a nice sheen which made them look like they cost a lot more than what I paid for them.
