I like pepper. I like it on salad, soup, chow mien and even on popcorn. And I like it finely ground. Finally, I have a pepper grinder that can deliver. I never thought I would spend this much on a pepper grinder! I've seen and used too many awful acrylic things that are horrible. But I was trolling around the rich folks mall and went in to a couple of kitchen stores to look at cookie sheets. I spotted the pepper grinders and tried the samples. As soon as I tried this one I knew THIS IS THE PERFECT PEPPER MILL! The pepper is finely ground and the size is very consistent. No large chunks at all! Because this is u select, the top nut doesn't have to be cranked down really tight because the grind is controlled by the a rotating bottom section. When you turn the top section, you can tell this is a finely crafted mill; it is very smooth.

I waited two months to get the 7" mill in fig. The purple is a very nice shade; quite dark. The finish is gorgeous: painted wood with a flat matte finish, not high gloss. The mill holds 1 ounce of pepper corns. Good riddance you can of pepper! If you like finely ground pepper, get this mill. It will last a life time. You won't regret it!
