I originally bought this in the early 1990's in the video tape form for my first cat, and she loved it so much. After she passed in 1995, I adopted 2 kittens in 1996, and they loved it. Now, I adopted 2 more kittens, who are now 3 years old, and the one boy can't get enough of it. He sits on the corner of the bed and stares at the TV, waiting for me to put the DVD in. Then he goes right up to it, sits there and "reads" the FBI warnings! He loves to go after all of the animals.
I also purchased 2 other DVD's from here, but they are not as good, as the 2 boys aren't into the fish,mice, and other cats. They seem to like the birds, squirrels and chipmunks better. I think it's a kitten thing, as my 2 older girls really aren't impressed by it anymore.
They are all indoor cats.

I purchased this video last year for my 2 cats for Christmas. (Yes, they're a bit spoiled.) Zoe wasn't very impressed with it, but Ziva absolutely LOVES it. I have a chair permanently in front of the TV for her because she wants to watch it every day. All I have to do is say, "Ziva, do you want your TV show?" and she comes running and jumps up on her chair. If she wants to watch it before I offer to turn it on, she sits on her chair and looks at me until I turn it on for her. There are little paw prints all over the TV screen from where she tries to catch the critters on the screen. It's so much fun to watch her! This video may not catch the attention of every cat, as my two cats prove, but when it does, they love it!Customer Review: Excellent!

This is an awesome video...my cat loves it. I have an older cat and it is hard to get his attention. I put a table in front of the TV and he sits there and paws the TV trying to catch the birds and squirrels. I thought after a while he would get bored but so far he hasn't. He climed behind the TV one time trying to see where the birds were coming from. Now every time I turn on the TV he jumps up on his table and waits for me to turn on his video.
I suggest making some other videos (maybe one with fish and one with insects or frogs or something) that way we can rotate the videos and they won't get bored watching the same ones every time. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has an indoor cat.

I sure hope Amazon finds another seller for this DVD. I really wanted it but when I started to buy it and they wanted $6.95 for shipping, I said forget it. I have bought over 1700 DVDs and I have never ever had someone charge that amount for shipping. Most sellers here charge $2.98, which is fair. Since these sellers tried to be so greedy I decided to do a search and I found you can pay a little more for the DVD but get free shipping at videocatnip.com, the actual makers of the DVD. They sell it for $19.95. So although it is $3.95 higher, the shipping is free so you end up saving $2.95.

This is a great video for cats. I got a different one awhile ago that was cheaper, but they weren't that into it (it had footage of hamsters, a fish tank, etc). They are enthralled by this one, however. This video is pretty much birds and squirrels, and I think that's really all you need. It starts off with some dorky music, but the dorky music stops after a few minutes and then it's just natural critter sounds. My kitties will just sit, enthralled, watching the action. Sometimes they will try to attack the TV (really). Highly recommended, especially if you have indoor-only cats who get bored.
