Chef's Select Parchment Paper is an excellent, economical choice for everyday baking at lower temperatures. It shapes well when used in bread and cake pans; can be wiped off and reused for cookie baking; and is economical enough to be discarded without feeling a twinge of guilt.
The stated maximum temperature on the box for using this parchment is 400 degrees Fahrenheit; it will come close to burning at higher temperatures. Nevertheless, you can use this paper at up to 475 degrees if you trim the excess paper so that it does not extend above the edges of your baking pan. Because I like to conserve my more expensive parchment papers, I used Chef's Select Parchment Paper many times at higher than recommended temperatures and have encountered no problems. Although the edges of the paper may brown a bit, I have never had it impart a burned taste to the baked goods. Further, I have never had the paper brown or burn when it is covered by dough or batter. If you are concerned about the almost burning of this parchment paper, you may wish to use it only for lower temperature baking.
This is an extremely economical parchment paper; based on the $12.99 price on Amazon, the cost per square foot is 5.2 cents. This compares to upwards of 15.6 cents per square foot for other parchment papers sold on Amazon.
You will not go wrong purchasing this parchment paper for your everyday baking needs. It is an excellent choice for utility and economy.
