I normally do no buy anything by Procter & Gamble because of their animal testing policies. The one exception is the Pur water filter. I live in an area with horrid public water and wouldn't dream of drinking it unfiltered. I also find the yuppie trend of purchasing bottled water pretentious in the extreme. The water I get with the Pur filter tastes great and is clean. I would like to know what has changed between these filters and the older Ultimate filters.Customer Review: Clean, clear, tasty water

Water that's been filtered by PUR is noticeably tastier than water from other filters. I had been using Brita for years but when the dispenser broke, I researched water filters on Amazon and was pleased to see that PUR offered a superior filter.
I have been using PUR for over a year now and am very pleased at the result. I will not stinge on the quality to save a few bucks. Water is too important a component of my diet and good health to mess with.

Amazon was the only place where I could find these Pur water filters at a fair price. The grocery stores and Target sell these but are more expensive. I have used Pur for years and like it better than the Brita filters. The water taste better since I have hard water in my area. I have also used the Brita filters but find that the Pur does a better job. In the desert, you tend to drink a lot of water. I have the Pur water dispenser and it uses the 2 stage filters, Amazon had the best price on the 3 pack anywhere and I can swear to how well these filters work ; before I got this dispenser I would only drink distilled bottled water because I could not stand the taste of tap or other filtered water. I have gotten rid of my bottle water cooler and now use the Pur system and have never been happier with any filtering system. I highly recommend this product.Customer Review: PUR Filter really pure

We have been using PUR water system for almost 2 years, we are glad we switched to PUR from BRITA. As BRITA was giving all kinds of things in water even after filtering and PUR gives such a refreshing taste to the water that even in Phoenix we could drink tap water after filtering it. The price at amazon for 3 filter was just $10, which was great and we bought them for a year stock. Great Product, Great Price, Great taste.
