Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of PUR CR-6000 7-Cup Water Filtration Pitcher

Customer Review: Excellent Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been using the CR-6000 for 4 months and love it. The handle is comfortable and well designed; when holding the pitcher, the thumb naturally rests on the lid, which keeps it in place; good, minimalist design. Most importantly, the water tastes great--better than bottled. It also eliminates the chlorine smell from my tap water. I store the pitcher in my fridge and refill it a little each time I use it; I keep an eye on how much water I add to the blue upper chamber, so the pitcher doesn't overfill. The few minutes it takes for the water to filter doesn't bother me; one could always use two pitchers and rotate them if more volume was needed. This is a great product, is reasonably priced, and I highly recommend it. I drink much more water because of it. If it were to dispense water that made me 20-years younger, it would be even better still.

Customer Review: Soooooo worth the trouble!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have this pitcher and the larger one. I am very GRATEFUL to God for them! I love the delicious clean water that this produces! PLUS.., I just brought my pitcher with me to the hotel room where I stayed for several days and didn't have to buy any water! Then I just emptied it and took it home and filled it again!

I like to keep the big dispenser in the frig for drinking and I leave this smaller one on the counter to use for cooking or making ice cubes.

People complain because they have to soak the filter first or lift a heavy water container to refill it but I don't complain. I thank God that that's all I have to do to get fresh clean delicious water. It's better than walking down to a filthy pool that the whole town uses for bathing and everything and then carrying it home on your head in a bucket to drink! ;-) PEACE!

Customer Review: Perfect clean tasting water
Summary: 5 Stars

Where I live the water is heavily chlorinated and I've been getting tired of having coffee, tea and drinking water that smells (and tastes) like a swimming pool. After wasting a lot of money on bottled water, I decided to try this pitcher. What a difference! Finally water that tastes like just plain water instead of chemicals. Attaching the filter was simple and the water drains into the pitcher rather quickly compared to another pitcher I used to have. The design is slim so it doesn't take up much counter or refrigerator space. The filter needs to be replaced every 2 months or so depending on how much water you go through each month, but at about $6 for a filter, that's much less than how much I was spending on bottled water. I'm really thrilled with my pitcher and think it was worth every penny.

Customer Review: PUR is a great filter pitcher
Summary: 5 Stars

I live in a college dorm which does not have the best tasting water. It is clear and clean but has a chlorine smell. I got tired of it, so I decided to order this pitcher. I compared it to the Brita line and decided the PUR was a better choice because it filters more contaminants. I am VERY impressed! The water from this pitcher tastes amazing! I think the quality is as good as bottled water. I highly recommend it if your water tastes bad! The pitcher is well built and looks good. There is a piece of plastic inside that you pour water into, and this is what holds the filter. The lid on top is not attached, but I found that it doesn't fall off or move when pouring. Overall, I highly recommend PUR! I plan to keep my pitcher and use it everyday!

Customer Review: New Filters Make the Difference
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this January 12, 2008 at a local Publix. I was about to buy another Deerpark Filtered Water Gallon and decided to go with this (I can't use the faucet attachment) I am impressed. It makes Atlanta water taste like Dasani, oh wait, Dasani is Atlanta water...but it tastes great! Much better than from the tap.

I've read the slow filter comments and PUR must have changed because I don't notice the slow filling. We're a family of three and the 7cup is perfect. I have the habit of filling the pitcher top with each glass of water. I mean I would be getting it from the tap otherwise right? No big deal. The pitcher has filtered the water by the time I need a fresh glass.
