I bought this shaving gel because I had been looking for something better to shave with. As with a lot of men I was unsatisfied with my shaving routine. So after surfing the net for a better way to shave I started using a shaving cream and a badger brush to lather up instead of using out of the can big company shaving gel. I am not sure if that improved my shaving... but the extra effort and the nice lather did make me think as if an improvement had been made. Then I used this gel.
The gel goes on clear and is not very visible. And specially since I had been using think shaving cream lather, I wasn't sure what to do after I put on the gel. Out of habit, I started swirling my brush around my face in hopes of generating some lather. But it soon became clear to me that there was going to be no lather. So now I am standing there confused what to do. Since I got the small tube, had I got after shaving gel.. you know to put on my face after shaving? I was about ready to get out my shaving cream and go about my general routine when I thought why not just try the razor and I will stop as soon I feel the tugging and pulling.. you know because I thought I was dry shaving. ( sort of.. this was right after a shower). But that is when I realized that this was the miracle magic invisible shaving gel. Although my cartridge was not new.. about 5 shaves in, I got a great shave. even the troublesome neck hair. And this was a two day stubble. So yeah.. very pleased and would recommend to anyone. specially people who have been spending time with shaving soaps, creams and brushes. Yes there is the "old world charm" and vanity factor( can't remember the word I am trying to use here .. i mean doing something because there is value in doing it because everyone does it) .. but for a all practical reasons.. this gel rocks.
