Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Oster BPST02-B Professional Series Blender, BlackCustomer Review: Everything it's said to be Summary: 5 Stars
It's a relief to come into possession of such a well-designed and expertly manufactured product. It's imposing appearance may not be for all tastes, but it's performance sets a standard for small appliances. No fru-fru/bling. No gadgetry or mutli-mode/40-button fake quality. No pastel plastics. Just the best blending on earth. Owned for a flawless month now. Yes, large pieces of things can get stuck above the blades. But that's just the truth of physics. To solve the problem: cut smaller pieces that will reach the blades. Gives new meaning to the word "smoothie." I've tried blending almost everything but granite. I've nicknamed mine "Heraclitus" because it causes everything I feed it to flow and become.
Customer Review: Kicks Ice Summary: 5 Stars
I had a professional type blender that I had purchased while working at a pub... after 20 years of hard use it finally died... bought a cheap one at Walmart to replace it... it lasted 3 months... bought this and its kicking ice... powerful... never hesitates no matter what I throw in there... did I say powerful, its got power... every bit as good as my old bar blender and looks better... my wife even lets me keep it on the counter! Forget all this 14 speed garbage... 2 is more than you need... I've never found a case that I was sitting there going, gosh I wish I had one more speed... load this sucker up and turn it on, a few seconds of bone crushing power, instant smoothie... you won't be disappointed.
Customer Review: very impressed Summary: 5 Stars
bought this blender after checking reviews for a half dozen other blenders in the same price range. first impressions are: seems very hefty and solidly built, plenty of power for my needs - mainly protein shakes - i like the toggle switch - simple and rugged, somewhat loud, but just below the level where i would call it "too loud". all in all i can't see how there can be much difference between this blender and others costing two or three times as much. made in mexico, but the fit and finish is very good. i almost bought the braun powermax, but chose this one because of the all metal drive system. comes with three year warranty - looks, sounds and works like it could last forever.
Customer Review: oster professional blender Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great product!!! The only thing that you need to watch is the lid when putting liquids in. I usually use the pulse when I blend liquids so the power is not constant, but the liquids push the lid up, even if there are only like 3 cups in it. I use a hotpad over it when blender hot liquids.
I used to have kitchen aid blender and this is what I bought to replace it. I am very happy with my purchase overall and love what this unit looks like! It has a very industrial look about it. I would buy this product again in the future! It is also very easy to clean. Just be very careful around the blade unit! Those blades are very sharp! But it explains why it works so well!!!
Customer Review: Finally, clump free smoothies! Summary: 5 Stars
Yes, this blender is loud but I can finally make smoothies with frozen fruit for my kids without them bringing me their cups complaining "it's stuck." I have a Kitchenaide blender, the wide base older model, it always leaves huge chunks of strawberries. It drives me nuts. I saw this Oster at Sam's Club and took a chance on it since we make smoothies every single day. I came right home and made different kinds of smoothies. Wonderful!! I even made one with a raw carrot and apple. Perfect...no lumps. If you are a smoothie family, get this blender and never have to worry about your kids taking the top off their sippy cup because the spout was full of frozen fruit. Worth every penny!!
