Customer Review: Works with Mason Jars!!!

I just received this blender yesterday, and just want to confirm that regular Kerr Brand Mason Jars work with this blender! Most of the people that wrote reviews mentioning this fact wrote them under the mini jar accessory for this blender.
So, if you are a regular smoothie maker like myself and hate dirtying up the 5 cup jar for just one smoothie, get yourself an Oster blender and some Mason Jars! That way, you can make a single drink in the same jar you drink from!
Be sure to buy the regular mouth Mason Jars... NOT the wide mouth. I bought a case of 12 Mason Jars for $11 but they can be found for a little less.
I'll update this review as I use the blender. For now, I justed to confirm reports that Mason Jars do in fact work with this blender.

After years of slogging along with my old Hamilton Beach blender (until the glass shattered from one too many rides thru the dishwasher), I was thrilled to purchase a shiny new blender, especially one with such excellent power and a gracious plenty capacity - my breakfast soy drinks never blended so quickly and smoothly (frozen banana and all). Haven't experimented with anything else yet to be able to comment on - which is the only reason I've witheld a star (maybe not fair - but I haven't put this thing thru all its paces yet). But its a pleasure to wash out by hand - unlike my old blender, and so far I'd say Oster comes thru again!Customer Review: Blending

I received this product faster than expected. No problems with shipping. I have tried the blender only once and was able to complete the blending process I was striving for. I think this will be a great blender once I get used to it. My complaint is that the cord is really short and the blender has to be right next to a plug to use. The cord is not even two feet long. I also tried to pulse some turkey meat and the process took longer than I wanted and I had to keep stirring the mixture. I don't know if the blender should be used for this type of processing or just for blending liquids.Customer Review: A satisfied customer

As always, Amazon comes through. The blender was just as advertised. The price was right and considerably less expensive that many others available. Hey,a blender is designed to do one job: blend. This one does it perfectly and there is no need for anything fancier. One note...Oster claims this this blender is especially designed to crush ice. I've used other blenders and they are all able to crush ice. Still if you want an inexpensive, reliable blender...go for this Oster.Customer Review: Basic Blender, no issues

For the price (and I don't say that to indicate that this is a shotty appliance) this is a great buy. If you want something more hardcore, you obviously need to spend more money. I bought this for my office because I have to make protein shakes for my boss twice a day. It's really easy to use and is pretty good at chopping ice and mixing powders. Buy it if you just want a basic blender that does what a blender should do. (p.s. a little noisy, but it's a BLENDER.)
