I absolutely love this product. My Mom had one many moons ago and she passed it on to me. When we were moving into our new home it got broken in shipping and I was lost without it.
I have looked everywhere for years for the same one. I had previously purchased other brands but not to my satisfaction. I'm so happy I found the same one she had!!!
We can now enjoy PERFECT poached and hard boiled eggs!!! YEAH!!!!Oster 4716 Egg Cooker

I almost bought a Cuisinart Egg Cooker but thankfully I read the reviews first and decided on the Oster...and I'm glad I did! You'll need to experiment a little at first to find the exact right amount of water to use depending on how you like your eggs but after that-perfect every time! I love the way it makes poached eggs-the whites perfectly cooked and runny yolks-mmm! I made eggs florentine one morning for my family and everyone wanted one after they saw how easy it was. I have in recent months purchased an asssortment of egg cookers. Several of these were for use in the microwave and one was a "as seen on tv" electric egg cooker. For different reasons I was not happy with these egg cookers. I purchased the Oster electric egg cooker and just love it! It works perfectly for both hard cooked eggs and poached eggs. I do not put the poached eggs directly into the egg cups provided but insert paper cupcake holders first. The eggs cook great and there is no mess! I signed on today to give this little cooker a stellar review and was disappointed to see that the last few reviewers said that their egg cooker did not last. I'm hoping that this is not the case for me. We've had this cooker for about a month now and have made soft-cooked, hard-cooked, and poached eggs several times with this cooker and they all came out great. There's a small instruction booklet and everything worked as described. I will update if my unit burns out the way others have said theirs have. Oster is the best egg poacher that I have discovered. All other egg poachers that I have tried or investigated have a plastic poaching tray. That group includes a model by the best known kitchen product manufacturer. I bought that product, tried it and returned it. The problem is that plastic trays insulate the bottom of the egg so that is undercooked even while the steam overcooks the top. The Oster metal poaching tray is the solution. If other products use the metal tray, maybe they are equal or better but I didn't find them.
