Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender, SilverCustomer Review: Perfect for Smoothies Summary: 5 Stars
I live by the beach and have a serious smoothie addiction. I've burned through two blenders making my morning smoothies and realized I needed to upgrade to a more "substantial" blender. After looking online and doing some comparing, I chose the Oster 4093-8O Classic Chrome Beehive Blender.
Oh my goodness, what a difference a good blender makes! My new Oster chops through ice and frozen fruit in no time flat and blends it into a nice frothy mix. Ice has always jammed the blades in my previous blenders. But with the Oster, there is no jamming. Just nice quick chopping.
I also love that this blender is retro looking. The Chrome Beehive base is so cool that I leave the blender out on the counter for all to see.
Customer Review: THIS IS THE BEST BLENDER! YOUR SEARCH IS OVER! STOP BUYING INTO ALL THE OTHER HYPES! Summary: 5 Stars
I've had my Oster beehive blender for about 3 years now. It mixes margaritas like no other and I make them almost every day, my time to come home start dinner & watch Ellen while sipping on my drink is the best. It just now finally gave out and it was not the motor! I never dried the metal between base and jar and it got rusted and of course now they don't sync with each other. I am using duct tape for now until my 2 new ones come in. I decided to pick up 2 just in case they get discontinued; that's how much I love my blender! My husband tried to convince me to buy the more expensive ones; why would I do that? This blender is the best out there hands down!! You won't regret this purchase just remember to dry the metal parts!
Customer Review: REAL cooks only need one switch Summary: 5 Stars
Not six buttons.
Simple but well made tools are the hallmark of professionals regardless of the discipline. Amateurs love unneeded complexity but a serious tool user doesn't need bells and whistles.
This is the blender for cooks who mean business. Instead of six buttons that will be unreadable in a year, this blender has a three position switch; off in the center, a spring loaded momentary on, and an on position. And if you watch what you're doing, that's all you need.
Ansd like any other professional's tools, this one is solidly made, reliable, and easily maintained. And with all these things going for it, I can recommend this one over any other.

Customer Review: Great blender! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought my Oster Classic Beehive blender in 1985. After 25 years of great service, she's still truckin'! So, why now am I writing a review? While ordering a replacement glass blender jar through Amazon, I was pleased (but not surprised) to read all the (mostly) positive reviews about the Classic. The complaints about how loud it is are accurate. But that's because it has a 500 watt motor, which is precisely why I bought this blender over two decades ago and why it's been so durable. I've never had a situation where the Classic has not been up to whatever blending task I've had to perform. There may be as good or even better blenders available today, but as for me: if it ain't broke, don't replace it!
Customer Review: Best Blender I've Ever Owned! Summary: 5 Stars
I love this blender! (Amazon's price was the best.) I read the reviews here before ordering it. Was worried about the noise level, but needed a good blender so took my chances. Loud? Sure it's a little loud, but all blenders are noisy. The difference with this one is that it's so powerful, that the job is done so quickly that the noise isn't even an issue!
If you need a blender, with no bells and whistles, just pulse and blend continous, this is the one to get. It's nice looking too! (I have chrome) Even better than the picture! Easy to clean, and such a powerful engine. We make the best blended drinks and it chops throug ice like it's butter! Love it!
