I was looking at buying the Jack Lalane juicer, but then I discovered that I would have to PEEL all my oranges, lemons and limes (the peel oils are bitter). Since I only juice citrus fruits, I decided to try this juicer to avoid pain in my wrist when I use a hand juicer. I was surprised by the power of this device, I can press down very hard and it keeps turning. It also gets out EVERY LAST DROP of juice from the fruit, something I could never do by hand. With this juicer I am now getting almost twice the juice I had been getting by hand! I love this juicer, it is easy to use and easy to clean. You can't beat the price either.Customer Review: a great buy

I should first say that I haven't been much of a fan of low end kitchen appliances. I'm no kitchen elitist but I hate wasting money on poor products.
That being said, I am thoroughly impressed by this little citrus juicer. It's got a strong motor that juices fruit very quickly. Using the strainer is convenient and completely non-messy. I thought that the little pitcher was a clever selling ploy but it's actually useful. You can switch from juicer to server instantly. The washable parts disassemble and clean very simply. I love this thing. It turned out to be a great buy. Who knew? That's one up for Oster in my book.

I was a little concerned about how this juicer would measure up to our stronger wattage one which was heavy to lift down from an upper cupboard, the pitcher was way too large, and the pitcher handle had broken off. I like the compact size of this model, and it has NO problem efficiently juicing oranges for OJ or lemons for recipes that require juice. I only have an electric juicer because my wrists are sensitive (everyone who uses a keyboard too much should avoid the repetitive movements required with an old-fashioned glass juicer). Am very satisfied with this Oster 3186.Customer Review: This was the right choice for us.

This is a great choice. It works as it should. It cleans easily. It's priced right.
I've used it for Oranges and Grapefruits. The bowl and lid twist off for use as a pitcher, for storage of juice in the fridge and of course, for cleaning.
The pulp catcher traps most of the pulp but lets enough through to make for a pleasantly pulpy product.
If the manufacturer is reading this, a second larger cone for Grapefruits would be nice.
I'd buy another one as a gift if the occasion arose.

This juicer has been the most perfect purchase. I bought it to make my diet lemonade (1 lemon, 4 packets Splenda, 20 ounces water.) It is just the perfect size, easy to operate and to clean, plus light-weight and easy to keep under counter or put away. One of the little perks is that when you are juicing the lemon, then lift it off, when you press it back on, the juicer turns the opposite direction - you feel you are getting every ounce of juice. I love it - what more can I say?
