I bought this mixer online without giving it the personal "feel". I am so glad I took the chance. The mixer is not too heavy but not too light either. It feels balanced in the hand. The power has been great for my needs thus far. I also like the retractable power cord, no more wrapping it around and having it get tangled. I trust Oster products and have it sitting beside my Oster kitchen center that I have had for 28 years.
