We have metal cabinets in our kitchen and chose these mostly because of the price. The cabinets stayed open too far when we put these on the top of the door, so we had to put them on the bottom. It's kind of a pain to reach under the door every time we need to open it but it works. The adhesive is very strong and keeps our daughter out well.
