Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Slim Double-Sided Money Clip

Customer Review: Perfect solution.
Summary: 5 Stars

I rarely bother to review anything. I think this is my first review on Amazon. I have had such trouble finding a wallet or money clip to meet my needs, that I had to comment on the Slim Clip. I have to keep many different cards available, too many for any wallet to fit comfortably in my pocket. Few wallets would hold them all in any case. With the Slim Clip, I keep my driver's license, military i.d. and one or two credit cards in at all times. I keep a wallet with all the other cards in my car or brief case. If I am going to need another card or two, I add them to the Slim Clip before getting out of the car. Loaded with the cards and cash it really is hardly noticeable in my front pocket. Inserting credit cards is only tricky if you try to slid several into an empty clip at the same time. Slide the first in, and then add the others. Some seem to worry about the cash being visible. If you hold it carefully the cash is no more visible than it is when you open a wallet to get out a credit cards. I have carried a money clip for years, along with my wallet, because the wallet was so full of cards. I always wrap small bills on the outside, to make it look like as small an amount of cash as possible. When you fold the cash twice, instead of once to put it in the Slim Clip, it looks much smaller and less obvious that when you take out a normal money clip. This is one of the few products that has performed better than advertised. Incidentally, mine paid for itself the first day I shopped with it. I keep my Military ID on the top. At two stores in a row, the clerk saw the ID and told me about a military discount I was unaware of. 10% off those purchases covered the cost. If you are military and in a military town, be sure to carry that ID on top!

Customer Review: Perfect for me
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this to replace the wretched Titanium Money Clip that broke twice, and which Amazon would not replace after 90 days. Whatever you do, don't buy that Amazon Collection titanium clip!

This slim clip, however, is great. It's very thin and light, has no moving parts, and seems likely to last forever. The steel is very springy and does not seem to be fatiguing over time. It holds seven cards and some bills comfortably, is cheap, and looks sharp. What more do you want? I'd recommend it to anyone interested in losing the fat wallet and having a nice front pocket carry.

I guess I could find fault somewhere if I try... It won't carry a single bill securely; you need a few for it to grab well. A hundred, a couple 20's, a 10, a 5, and a few ones is perfect. You can jam a big wad in, but it takes some doing. I just optimize my pocket money to fit the clip, and it works great for me. If you like to walk around with just one bill or a big roll, look elsewhere, I guess. If you put it in your pocket card side down, it'll grab coins and throw them when you pull it out. But if you put it in bill side down, it can drop the bills in your pocket if you don't have many in the clip. My solution is to practice my "draw" and keep my fingers on the bills as I pull out the clip. It shows fingerprints... But really, I find it near ideal for my purposes. Enjoy!

Customer Review: You need this. Most compact money/card storage ever. Survived a winter under a foot of snow.
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased the Slim Clip when my old wallet frayed beyond repair. I was expecting to get fed up with it within a couple weeks, as I've always hated moneyclips.

I didn't expect it to live up to its name, either. Turns out, despite sounding like a hokey infomercial, it's quite aptly-named, and I'm never going to purchase another wallet. I currently have 13 bills and 8 cards stored in a space that's a tiny bit larger than the cards themselves. (You don't really appreciate how many layers of leather your wallet has until you get rid of them.)

As an amusing anecdote, I managed to lose my Slim Clip while I was shoveling snow at the beginning of winter on Long Island. It stayed lost until everything thawed out a month later. No damage at all. Sounds like some nonsense a marketing department would make up, but still: impressive.

If you hate having a damned dictionary in your back pocket just to keep your driver's license and an ATM card in, get this now.

Customer Review: Best Purchase All Year!
Summary: 5 Stars

This money clip is the best purchase I have made all year. I really like this money clip, which is used in place of my wallet. Slim Money Clip - Get Rid Of Bulky Fat Wallet to Slim Clip! One side holds your credit cards, I.D. and etc while the other side holds your paper money. I was able to quit carrying my bulky wallet altogether. The clip holds everything very snug with no chance of anything getting lost. I am not sure how many cards the clip holds but I have 6 in mine and they are very snug. When you need cash or your I.D., its very handy just to reach in your front pocket and retrieve it. I would recommend this money clip to anyone. Its made of shiny stainless steel and there's room to have your name engraved, to make it even more personal. At a cost of 9.98 it is very reasonable and I am guessing will last forever. I don't know how I got along with out one before.

Customer Review: First money clip and I love it!
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently decided it was time for a new wallet and remembered that a buddy of mine had showed me his money clip and talked about how much he loved it, so I figured I would give it a try. I got it and I have definitely been converted! I really like how slim it is and I can easily keep in one of my front pockets so I don't have to sit on a bulky wallet anymore. I only carry the necessary cards with me and the slim profile of this thing is really great. The only thing I will say is that there are some sharp edges so be careful about keeping it in the same pocket as your cell phone, especially if it's a touch screen. All in all this is a nice, inexpensive piece. It holds all of my cards and cash very securely and I haven't had nor do I anticipate any problems with it. I will say that keeping more than 5 bills in the clip helps the security of the cash greatly and you probably won't want to carry less than three cards (I don't imagine many people will).
