Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Orka Ice Pop Molds, Brown Base

Customer Review: Love these molds!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these because I wanted to make healthy Popsicles at home. They are so cute, easy to use and easy to clean. The popsicles come right out of the mold. You just have to loosen the part by the handle by wiggling it, then slide the silicone sleeve off. They come out with a cute design and are a nice size. Not too large. I just wish these came in a larger set. Other than that, I love them! I will be ordering a second set.

Customer Review: Awesome shape!
Summary: 5 Stars

I haven't yet tried the product, so I hope it will not be to difficult to use, but I love how fun this shape is. The delivery was fast and the product was in the condition that was promised- brand new. So far, I've been very happy with the purchase.

Customer Review: Pop Mold Review
Summary: 5 Stars

These molds are great and work as advertised. Easy to use from beginning to end.

Customer Review: Works great, but smaller than it looks
Summary: 4 Stars

In preparation for the summer months I bought three different silicone ice pop sets: the Orka molds, Kinderville Little Bites Silicone Ice Pop Molds (Set of 4), and Lekue Silicone Ice Pop Mold, Set of 2. Of the three the Orka is the easiest to use. The silicone is very thin and easily peels off the ice pop, and the plastic handle is looped (like a big yarn needle) to keep it from pulling out while you unmold the pop. The one negative? These molds are VERY small. The other two brands hold about 3 1/2 ounces each, but these hold less than 2 ounces. With the stand they take up about a 4"x4" space in the freezer and I like that they stay upright while freezing. It's also nice that they are thin enough to turn inside out, which makes washing them easy. Since one set will only use a little less than one cup of liquid (and what ice pop recipe yields only one cup??), I would either cut back a recipe to fit or buy more than one set.

Customer Review: Easy removal, takes a little longer to freeze
Summary: 4 Stars

We recently purchased a juicer and I wanted to try some popsicles. I purchased a store brand (traditional plastic) popsicle mold and this.

Compared to the traditional plastic molds, these are great for easy removal of the popsicle. No running water over and slowly twisting out the popsicle while little kids are whining. :)
They are dishwasher safe too which is always a huge plus in my house.

The one downside is that the popsicles take a little longer to freeze. The popsicles in the plastic froze about an hour ahead of these. Not a big deal if you made them in the evening and froze overnight when no one is eating them anyway.
