Customer Review: You Can't Go Wrong With These Tongs!

Originally I thought 12-inch tongs would be too long, so I ordered both these and the Progressive 9-inch Silicone Gripper Tongs in Red.
When I received both sets, I quickly realized I preferred the 12-inch tongs. That extra length is useful when you are turning something in popping grease and you want some distance between the range's heat and your hands.
In addition, the silicone grips are large and flexible, making it easy to grasp and turn just about anything, even when food is sticking. I also like that they are heat-resistant to 570° Farenheit.
The 9-inch tongs felt too short and weren't as flexible. The heads for grasping food were smaller. They are still a nice set of tongs if you have a smaller kitchen or want smaller tongs.
I returned the 9-inch and kept the 12-inch.
As an aside, coming from a background of using the more traditional scissor-like tongs, I was a bit apprehensive as to whether I could adjust to this style of tong, but I did so with no problem.
Highly recommended.
