I've now had mine for like 10 years!!! I've crushed a whole lot of cans with it during that time. Mine is actually mounted OUTSIDE onto a 4x4 post on my porch at a nice hight. This allows be to slide under it a large garbage bag holder that holds the bag up and in kind of a rectangle shape which allow me to slide it right up against the post. I can then grab one of my blue recycling bins I throw all my cans into and bring that next to me and sit it on top of whatever is hardly so I don't have to bend over much grabbing cans. I can fill this can crasher up pretty quickly and then crush them just as fast. When a Can is crushed, it just falls right into my large Garbage bag. I just in fact finished doing it again a few minutes ago. I have another FULL Bag of crushed cans to go with all the rest!!!
Now I really like it because it doesn't RUST, and as mine is located outside, that could be a problem with the other ones. I also like the fact it just drops down after it's crushed, I don't have to reach in once again to take it out. Being able to load up 9 cans, 10 is a little to much and tends to fall off the top when you go to crush the first can, but you can really just crunched, crush, crush away quite quickly!!! Some of the Negatives are is it only works with normal sized cans. Anything else and I have to do it the old way and step on it. Also cans do have the tendency to hang up in the loader as your crushing. It's pretty open and a little push with your finger and they drop down. I've used others and this one is by far the best.
Once one of the Pins on the Pivot point partly worked it's way out, I popped it back in and all was fine once again. If you use it normally, and not abuse it, it should hold up and last a long time. For the price, it really can't be beat. Mount to something solid with the couple screws it comes with and your ready to go.
