I purchased this item as a Christmas present to replace an old one that had seen better days. It was delivered directly to the recipient and opened on Christmas morning. The product is a good one, but this particular cooker looked like it had been used as a demonstrator. The edges were covered with a silicone product that had to be scraped off with a knife. It was like that clear silicone you use in your bathroom around your tub. There were drip marks on the inside and outside of the cooker like something starchy inside spilled over and was not cleaned off. In short, it didn't look new, even though it was supposed to be.
I asked the recipient if he wanted to return it and he opted to keep it to save the hassle of repacking it, going to the Post Office to mail it and waiting for a replacement.
