A few people have said it won't cook brown rice. Mines does it fine as long as I double the cooking time. For reg rice I use 2 cups rice with 2 1/4 water on 15 mins @ 50% power. Comes out perfect everytime. I leave the port closed.Customer Review: Great product for a good price..

I am amazed at how well this little item cooks rice in the microwave! I cook a double batch and reheat the rice and it still stays nice and fluffy, not gummy.
