The only problem I had with the lid was that the plastic handle arrived broken. Amazon did replace the lid with a non-broken one at their expense. I would assume, however that the handle is a bit fragile and I will treat it as such. The lid does cover the 12-inch skillet for which I purchased it (after the original glass one broke) It's not a tight seal, but it's more than adequate and works fine. I bought this since I needed a lid to use in case my other lids - more sturdy but also more expensive - were being used or in the dishwasher, and the large size of this lid, its light weight, and its low cost make it a good value. It's not the sturdiest, but it does the job, and in case it falls apart (mine hasn't), it's cheap, so you can buy another one. Great buy overall.

I needed this lid for a large omelette pan i have. It fits great. The only reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because the inside of the lid, went all brown after i used it. But it does the job, covers my pan perfectly. Still a great buy.Customer Review: Nice Product

It serves it's purpose, especially when I'm using my 12 inch skillet to fry food or saute plus it has the vent that you can open and close depending on what you're cooking.
