I cleaned this in the dishwasher when I received it, no problem.
I used it for the first time to shred some lettuce, about a cup.
I then placed the item in the top rack of my dishwasher, same as before, lying flat without anything touching it.
After getting it out of the dishwasher the second time, I noticed some rust streaks. I then noticed the rust streaks were in the same place on each side. The blade had actually cracked all the way through in three places. How can this be the same item that got 5 stars from all the other reviewers?
I'm returning the item and I hope Amazon issues a refund.
