I saw this product at a local candle supplier, but bought it here for half the price. It works great! It has a cover to shield from wax and even worse, oil spills and splatters and the metal top is great for hot pouring pitchers. This scale was smaller than I had expected. However it does all that is said it will do and I really like it.. I can weight all my eggs to get the correct weight for packaging. It keeps the tare even if it shuts off. It is very handy when canning from the garden ..Customer Review: works great

Scale is represented by Amazon as "Stainless Steel" and appears to be all stainless in the photos. In reality, the unit is plastic, either black or "silver colored" and the only thing that is stainless is the weighing table.
Instructions read as if they were translated from another language and are not clear. But if you keep poking at the buttons, and aren't easily frustrated, eventually you seem to be able to get the thing to do what you want!
It does seem to be reasonably accurate, and adequate for my needs (not in commerce). When the scale first arrived, it weighed the same stainless steel bowl differently every time it was set on the platform. Not real confidence inspiring! A quick email to the supplier (Quick Supply - with whom I am very happy) netted a prompt response that possibly low batteries (they were supplied with unit) were the culprit. A change of batteries didn't help, it still varies when you weigh the same item over and over, but the difference is pretty slight. I considered shipping it back but didn't feel the small amount it was off warranted my having to pay to ship it back. As I said, it's adequate for my needs, and considering the price, so far so good, overall I'm satisfied - not thrilled, but satisfied :).
But be aware that it is NOT all stainless steel.
