This is a very nice practical and accurate scale. It costs little more than some of the very inaccurate mechanical scales so I'd rate it an excellent bargain. We did not use a scale much in cooking before acquiring it and now find all manner of uses. It is simple to use and can be configured for either metric or non metric weights. It is also useful for other things like postal weighing and it tares easily. The flip up protective shield gets in the way occasionally but it serves a purpose so I've learned to live with it.

I wanted something that had a decent capacity (3 kg of many scales is not enough once you put a plate on it), was relatively accurate, easy to use, provides repeatable measurements, and was inexpensive. The removable stainless steel platform is a bonus, but since this scale has a 7 kg capacity I almost always put a plate on there first so I don't have to bother with washing the removable platform. This scale has all of the above attributes, and I would certainly recommend it to somebody looking for a decent food scale but is not looking to break the bank.Customer Review: My Weight 7000-Gram Scale

I am very happy with this product. This scale is a good value for the money. My only complaint is the time that the scale stays on while on battery power. It has shut down on me while I was adding multiple elements together at certain percentages. I do not believe this would not be a problem with the AC adapter however the AC adapter I received was of the wrong size and would not work with this scale. I was issued a return and I hope that will take care of that issue. Overall, I am very pleased.Customer Review: ABSOFRIGGINLUTELY LOVE this scale!

My old scale was dying, so I replaced it with this. The top is stainless (the only piece that needs to be) is quite large and very, VERY stable. It's very easy to use, and includes a plastic food splash guard thing to protect the buttons and screen, which is a really nice feature. Fairly precise (0.05 oz resolution) and in my opinion, indespensible to anyone that needs to measure when cooking or eating - be it a dieter, bodybuilder, or baker.Customer Review: Nice scale.

Really nice for the price. The adapter that showed up as "customers who bought this also bought..." didn't work with it. My fault for not reading more carefully I guess. It came with batteries, weighs extremely fast, and was perfectly accurate with my 100g calibration weight. The plastic cover over the buttons is a nice feature, and while the scale is plastic, it seems plenty sturdy.
