This adapter allows you to use a bulk propane cylinder instead of the disposable bottles. It is not usable for apliances that contain/fit the bottle unless it uses a flexible hose. Problem is that it will output the cylinder horizontally so many things like fixed lights and light stoves won't fit, especially unable to clear the safety shroud...unless you have the special propane extension hose for disposable bottles like to hang a lantern. It is a very useful tool IF you know how to apply it.
