In summary, the complaint about the handle being weak, very cheap parts and plastic, etc... are all true. At first the steamer worked well but less than a year in the steam function just quit - water heats up, nothing comes out. I am not mechanical but I opened it up expecting to see mineral deposits clogging the tubing but everything appeared to be in working order. The steam sprayer still works but it is useless (as another reviewer observed). Also the cord is quite a heavy gauge and the plastic cord holders along the neck of the handle are much too small to even hold it. I see that this product has also gone down in price from a year ago... the mostly positive reviews of this product are what nudged me to buy it; I say, look for something else.
